Diagnosis Tester Emulation on an instrument cluster


Requirements:

Description:

Development of a diagnostic virtual tool on a cluster instrument that will act like an external offboard diagnostic tool and will interrogate the cluster instrument itself or any other ECU inside the car using UDS messages. The control of the diagnostic command and parameters will be done using a menu.

Activities:

  • Development of a SW package for the cluster instrument, so that the driver is able to perform self diagnostic;
  • Code debugging;
  • Testing the entire system using different testing techniques.

Driver for accessing external serial flash memory on SPI

Requirements

  • Automation and Computer Science Faculty, Mathematics and Computer Science Faculty, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Faculty;

Description

The scope of the project is to implement a driver which provides functions for accessing the external serial flash memory devices via SPI interface. The supported family memory devices are Spansion S25FL.

Activities

  •  Read the device identifiers (auto-scan device type);
  • Read data from external serial flash memory device;
  • Activate/deactivate write protection;
  • Erase entire flash memory or by specified sector area;
  • Write data to external serial flash memory device.

Flash Agent tool for Renesas V850E2M Platform

Requirements

  • Automation and Computer Science Faculty, Mathematics and Computer Science Faculty, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Faculty;

Description

The scope of the project is to develop a tool able to program all flash memory devices present on a cluster instrument.

The supported memory devices are:

  • internal flash memory of microcontroller;
  • internal RAM memory of the microcontroller;
  • external NOR flash memory on serial bus SPI/HSFI;
  • external NOR flash memory on parallel bus;
  • external NAND flash memory on parallel bus;

A main software part inside the tool should take care of interpretation and execution of the programming commands taken from the flash container. The access to memory devices should be based on usage of appropriate software drivers for every memory device. The tool should return status messages, to indicate errors, processing phase and elapsed programming time.

Testing of the Elements of the Cluster Instrument on the Production Line

Description

The scope of the project is to develop the software test frame that is loaded into the cluster instrument and manipulates its phisical elements in order to test them. The project must be able to manipulate the LEDs, pointers, speaker and diplays and set them in any possible state. The output of the project must be a description of what is a cluster instruments, what are the elements of the cluster instrument, how are they controled, how is the software that manipulates them created and loaded in the cluster instrument; for practical demonstration several configurable test scenarios are to be implemented and run.

Generate an CINEMA 4D model using a XML model description

Description

The scope of the project is to implement a CINEMA 4D plugin witch take as an input a XML description in a custom format and translate it in Cinema 4D Model. The following functions have to be provided:

  • Read and parse the XML file;
  • Generate a configuration based on XML data;
  • Create resources;
  • Create CINEMA 4D objects;
  • Conect the object with resources.
